Vermont History Day
Vermont History Day is an exciting opportunity for students in grades 5-12 to showcase their skills as historians! Vermont History Day will take place at the University of Vermont Davis Center in Burlington on April 6, 2024.
About the Contest
Vermont History Day is in affiliation with the National History Day (NHD) program. NHD is committed to encouraging students to think innovatively with history education. Vermont History Day students can create a paper, website, documentary, performance, or exhibit on a topic of their choice. Students must relate their topic back to NHD’s annual theme. 2024 is an exciting anniversary for NHD. To celebrate 50 years of NHD, the contest theme will be Turning Points in History. Students will be able to explore a wide variety of topics, including how ideas, events, and actions in the past have inspired moments of change.
