Collections Manager 

The Vermont Historical Society seeks to hire a Collections Manager to support functions in the Collections & Access Department. The position is based out of the Vermont History Center in Barre and will be key to the Historical Society's cataloging, reference, and digitization work for its physical items. Internships

Education Programs Intern

The Education Programs Intern for the Spring 2024 semester will gain hands-on experience working with a wide variety of audiences in the Service & Outreach Department.  They will assist with the implementation of various department programs and initiatives, most specifically Vermont History Day and school tours at the Vermont History Museum. This may include museum evaluation projects, administrative tasks, and visitor service work. Applicants should be an undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in history, education, or museums.

There is a $1,500 stipend available for approximately 120 hours of work over the course of the semester. The intern will need to be able to work on-site at the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier for the majority of the hours. Start date and work days are flexible.
