Mario D. and Rose T. Lorenzini Fellowship

The Vermont Historical Society seeks interested applicants for the 2023 Mario D. and Rose T. Lorenzini Fellowship. The Mario D. and Rose T. Lorenzini fellow will work during the summer of 2023 to support staff in the Leahy Library in processing, organizing, researching, and making accessible collections related to Italian-American history in Barre. Work will be performed in person at the Vermont History Center in Barre, at a schedule and a time worked out between the Fellow and the Library, to total approximately 100 hours between June and August 2023.

The Fellow will produce a final work product available to the public at the end of their time. Applicants must be currently enrolled students at a high school or undergraduate level. A stipend of $1,500 is available for this fellowship.

Geiger Fellowship- Women's History

The Vermont Historical Society seeks interested applicants for the 2023 Geiger Women’s History Fellowship. The Geiger fellow will work during the summer of 2023 to support staff in the Collections & Access department to research, write, and produce biographies of Vermont women for potential inclusion into the Vermont Women’s History Database. Work will be performed in person at the Vermont History Center in Barre, at a schedule and a time worked out between the Fellow and the Library, to total approximately 100 hours between June and August 2023.

The Fellow will produce a final work product available to the public at the end of their time. Applicants must be currently enrolled students at a high school or undergraduate level. A stipend of $1,500 is available for this fellowship.

Geiger Fellowship- Museum & Education

The Vermont Historical Society seeks interested applicants for a 2023 Geiger Museum & Education Fellowship. The Geiger fellow will work during the summer of 2023 to support staff at the Vermont History Museum in educational and museum-related activities, such as exhibit updates and Vermont History Day tasks.  Work will be performed in person at the Museum in Montpelier at a schedule and a time worked out between the Fellow and the Museum, to total approximately 100 hours between June and August 2023.
